The people in the village of Amaokpara Amiri now have a reliable source of clean water in which to drink and use for their households. A guard house was also constructed to protect the area. Solar panels were installed so that there would be electricity to pump the water from the well. Three spigots were made to allow members of the community unencumbered access to the water.
In July 2021, parishioners of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine came together and initiated plans to help fund a deep water well to serve the SSB Center and the villagers. A 6000-gallon storage tank platform and a 300 foot well with solar powered submersible pump was completed. This provides the villagers with a reliable source of pure uncontaminated water.
